Services Description

feral-star provides guided photography routes along South Africa's coastline. Our services include transportation, accommodation, meals, and professional photography guidance as described in individual route specifications. The exact services included vary by route and are detailed in booking confirmations.

Booking and Payment

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit. The following terms apply:

• A deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking
• Full payment is due 30 days before the route departure date
• Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at time of booking
• Payment may be made via bank transfer or other methods specified during booking

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by the participant:

• More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus administrative fee
• 30-60 days before departure: 50% refund
• Less than 30 days before departure: No refund

Cancellation by feral-star:

• We reserve the right to cancel routes due to insufficient participants, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control
• In case of cancellation by us, participants receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date
• We are not liable for any consequential costs incurred by participants

Participant Requirements

Participants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a legal guardian
• Possess adequate physical fitness for the selected route
• Provide accurate health information that may affect participation
• Carry appropriate travel and medical insurance
• Comply with all instructions given by guides during routes

Equipment and Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their own photography equipment and personal belongings. feral-star is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal property during routes, except where such loss or damage results from our negligence.

Weather and Conditions

Photography routes are conducted in outdoor environments subject to variable weather conditions. We do not provide refunds for weather conditions that may affect photographic opportunities. Our guides will adapt itineraries where possible to maximise opportunities within safety constraints.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, and design, is the property of feral-star or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Photographs taken by participants during our routes remain the property of the participant. We may request permission to use participant images for marketing purposes, but such use is always optional and credited.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• feral-star shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim
• We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless feral-star, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Assumption of Risk

Participation in photography routes involves inherent risks including but not limited to variable weather, rough terrain, wildlife encounters, and remote locations. By booking our services, you acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for your own safety and judgment during routes.

• Use the website for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the website
• Interfere with the proper working of the website
• Use automated systems to access the website without permission
